The petrol price trend in Pakistan from 13 to 17 October 2026 was a fall of Rs 9.07 per litre, from Rs 395.37 to Rs 386.30. High-speed diesel barely moved, rising Rs 0.11 to Rs 396.96. The drop was not a straight line, because petrol rose briefly on 15 October before falling again. For the latest rate, see our latest petrol price in Pakistan page.

How Much Did Petrol Fall in Five Days?
Petrol opened the period at Rs 395.37 and closed at Rs 386.30, a fall of Rs 9.07 or about 2.29%. The biggest single cut was the last one, Rs 3.93 on 17 October. We covered that revision on its own in our petrol price reduced by Rs 3.93 report.
The two figures should not be mixed up. Rs 3.93 is what changed on one day. Rs 9.07 is the net change over all five days, and it includes the Rs 1.20 rebound on 15 October. Without that rebound the fall would have been Rs 10.27.
Why Petrol and Diesel Moved Differently
Diesel went from Rs 396.85 to Rs 396.96, a rise of Rs 0.11 or about 0.03%. Petrol and diesel are priced from their own international benchmarks, so they do not have to move together. For the 17 October revision, the Petroleum Division pointed to global developments, including changes in Platts rates, premiums and incidentals.
The result is a wider gap between the two fuels. On 13 October diesel cost Rs 1.48 more than petrol. By 17 October it cost Rs 10.66 more. Diesel carries freight and farm machinery, so a petrol-only fall does little for transport costs.
What It Means for Drivers
Compared with the 13 October rate, a 20-litre petrol fill costs Rs 181.40 less, going from Rs 7,907.40 to Rs 7,726.00. A 40-litre fill costs Rs 362.80 less and a 50-litre fill Rs 453.50 less. On a 50-litre diesel fill the change is Rs 5.50 more.
These are comparisons between two listed rates, not guaranteed savings. What you actually save depends on which day you filled up and how much you bought. Pakistan has moved away from fortnightly revisions, and rates now change over days, so a price seen this week may already be out of date.
Where to Check Official Fuel Prices
The Petroleum Division publishes price announcements and OGRA publishes the notified prices with their effective dates. Always compare the effective date, not just the figure, because the date the news appears and the date the rate starts are often different. Our fuel price page tracks both.
Final Verdict
Between 13 and 17 October petrol fell Rs 9.07 to Rs 386.30 with one mid-week rebound, while diesel stayed almost flat at Rs 396.96. The trend was down for petrol and sideways for diesel. This report covers only that five-day window, so check the current rate before you fill up.
