The M-1 Motorway between Islamabad and Peshawar will close from 11pm tonight, 23 September, according to the Islamabad Traffic Police advisory. The closure begins at Haroon Bridge and runs until further notice.
The M-2 between Lahore and Islamabad remains open for general traffic.

M-14 · E-35 Hazara Motorway · N-5 GT Road · Rawalpindi–Kohat Road · Abbottabad–Hassanabdal Road
If you are travelling north or towards Hazara, check your specific route rather than assuming only the M-1 is affected.
When Will They Reopen?

Before You Set Off
Postpone non-essential travel on the affected routes tonight.
Check traffic police updates immediately before leaving, not hours earlier the position can change quickly.
Confirm that your destination is actually reachable, and allow extra time.
Follow official diversion instructions rather than improvising a route.
If you are travelling by intercity bus, confirm the schedule with the operator before going to the terminal.
