The Toyota Corolla Grande facelift brings a sharper front end, new alloy wheels, parking sensors front and rear, a chestnut-brown cabin and wireless smartphone connectivity — on the same 11th-generation platform and the same 1.8-litre engine.
| Front | New grille, revised bumper, LED fog lamps |
| Wheels | 16-inch machine-finished alloys |
| Parking sensors | Front plus four at the rear |
| Interior | Black and Dark Chestnut, beige-gold stitching |
| Connectivity | Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto |
| Engine | Unchanged |
A thorough cosmetic and equipment update rather than a mechanical one.
A Flatter, Sharper Front
The nose is flatter and more pointed, with a redesigned grille and revised bumper that bring the Grande closer to Toyota's newer models.
The LED fog lamps are now integrated into the bumper rather than sitting as separate units — a small detail that does a lot for how finished the front looks.
Parking Sensors Front and Rear
This is the most genuinely useful change. The Toyota Corolla Grande facelift adds front parking sensors alongside four at the rear.
Front sensors are the ones people miss most in our parking conditions, where kerbs, pillars and tightly packed bays punish a long bonnet. Four at the rear is more than most cars in this class offer. Of everything on this list, these will save owners the most money in avoided bumper repairs.
New Machine-Finished Alloys
The 16-inch machine-finished alloy wheels are new. Machine-finished faces catch light in a way painted wheels do not, which makes the car look more expensive than the change costs — though they do show brake dust more readily and kerb marks are harder to touch up.
The Chestnut Interior
Inside, the Grande moves to a Black and Dark Chestnut scheme with beige-gold stitching and warm-metal trim.
This is the change that will divide opinion most, and it is worth seeing in person before judging it from photographs. In practical terms a darker brown hides wear better than beige while feeling warmer than all-black — a sensible middle ground for a car that will carry families for years.
Same Screen, Much Better Connectivity
The 9-inch infotainment screen carries over unchanged. What changes is what it does: wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth 5.0, Panasonic speakers, and both USB-C and USB-A ports.
Wireless mirroring is the upgrade owners will notice daily — no cable on every short trip — and including USB-C alongside USB-A is the right call while households still own both kinds of cable.
The Engine Is Untouched
| Engine | 1.8-litre petrol |
| Power | 138 hp |
| Torque | 173 Nm |
| Transmission | Sport CVT-i, Sequential Shiftmatic |
| Also included | Paddle shifters, Sport mode, cruise control, VSC |
No mechanical changes, which is normal for a facelift. The known quantity is part of the appeal here: this engine and gearbox combination has been running in Pakistani conditions for years, and every workshop knows it.
Why Not the 12th Generation?
What follows is our analysis, not Toyota's stated explanation. Toyota has not given a reason for continuing with the 11th-generation car.
The commercial logic is not hard to see, though. An all-new generation means new tooling, retrained workshops and a new parts chain, while a facelift keeps a profitable, fully localised car competitive for far less. With policy still unsettled — as our report on the Pakistan Auto Policy 2026-31 explains — committing to that investment is a harder decision than usual. Again: reasoning, not reporting.
Price
No price has been published for the facelifted Grande, and we are not going to estimate one — an invented figure is the thing buyers quote at a dealership. Confirm current pricing with Toyota Indus or your nearest dealership.
Is the Facelift Enough?
For a buyer who wants a Corolla, yes — the parking sensors and wireless connectivity fix the two most dated things about the car, and the Grande looks considerably fresher. For a buyer comparing it against the newer arrivals filling the market, as our coverage of new cars in Pakistan shows, the answer depends on how much weight you give to resale value, parts availability and a workshop network that exists in every city. Those are the Corolla's real arguments, and a facelift does not change them either way.
Final Thoughts
The Toyota Corolla Grande facelift is a well-judged update: sharper front, new 16-inch machine-finished alloys, front and four rear parking sensors, a chestnut cabin and wireless CarPlay and Android Auto — with the 1.8-litre, 138 hp engine untouched. No price has been announced. For owners, our Toyota Corolla accessories range covers floor mats, sun shades and interior protection.
