Nishat Group Signs MoU to Bring LUXEED Electric Cars to Pakistan

LUXEED Pakistan has moved from rumour to paperwork. Nishat Group says it signed a strategic cooperation agreement with LUXEED on 22 October 2026, in Wuhu, to introduce the Chery–Huawei brand here.

What the announcement does not contain is almost everything a buyer would want. Nishat Group states that models, specifications, pricing and the Pakistan timeline will all be announced later.

What Is the LUXEED Pakistan Partnership?

An agreement to combine resources and bring the brand to market. According to the announcement, the two sides will work together to introduce LUXEED in Pakistan and support the country's new energy mobility ecosystem.

Read the status carefully. It has been reported as an MoU, while the announcement itself calls it a strategic cooperation agreement. Either way it is a statement of intent, not a distribution contract with cars attached to it.

One detail is worth noting because it is easy to assume otherwise. The announcement names Nishat Group as the signatory, not NexGen Auto, which is the arm that handled the group's earlier launches.

The signing took place in Wuhu, Chery's home city in Anhui — which also happens to be where LUXEED's newest model is assembled.

What Is LUXEED and Who Makes Its Cars?

LUXEED is a premium new energy brand created through a partnership between Chery and Huawei, launched in 2024 and known in China as Zhijie. It operates under Huawei's Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance, usually shortened to HIMA.

The division of labour is the point of the arrangement. Chery handles manufacturing and engineering; Huawei supplies the smart cockpit, the driver-assistance system and the digital drive technology.

That makes LUXEED closer to a technology partnership than a conventional badge. Nishat's announcement also describes Chery Group as having led China's brand passenger-vehicle exports for 23 consecutive years, which is the company's own characterisation rather than an independently checked figure.

Is LUXEED a Fully Electric Brand?

No, and this is the detail most coverage gets wrong. “New energy vehicle” is a category that includes more than battery-electric cars.

The range runs to three models: the S7 sedan, the R7 coupe-style SUV and the V9, a full-size minivan and the first from any HIMA brand.

The R7 is sold both as a battery-electric car and as a range-extender, with a petrol engine that generates electricity but never drives the wheels. The V9 is a range-extender only — you cannot buy it as a pure EV.

So if LUXEED does arrive, the powertrain matters as much as the badge. Our guide to how BEV and range-extender versions of the same car differ is worth reading before anyone orders on the strength of a brochure.

Which LUXEED Models Could Come to Pakistan?

Unknown. The three models above are what the brand sells elsewhere, and that is a different statement from what Pakistan will get.

We are also not going to reprint Chinese specifications as if they were LUXEED cars in Pakistan. Battery sizes, ranges and equipment are specified market by market, and range figures quoted on China's CLTC cycle read far higher than the same car's WLTP numbers.

On the R7's range-extender, for instance, the electric-only figure is published on two different cycles and they differ by roughly fifty kilometres. A number without its cycle attached is not information.

LUXEED Price in Pakistan: What Do We Know?

Nothing, officially. There is no LUXEED price in Pakistan, because the company has said pricing comes later, and no booking amount or dealership has been mentioned at all.

Converting a Chinese list price into rupees would mislead rather than help. Duty, sales tax, freight, homologation, warranty provision, the exchange rate and whether a car is imported or assembled all sit in between.

What does give a sense of the territory is what the same group already charges. At its iCAUR launch in September, Nishat's NexGen Auto priced the V23 and V27 between Rs 9,499,000 and Rs 12,499,000 ex-factory. A premium brand positioned above iCAUR would not be starting below that.

Why Nishat Group's Partnership Matters

Because of what the group has already done, which is the only fair way to judge an agreement with no dates in it.

Nishat has been in the car business since 2017, when Hyundai Nishat Motors was formed as a joint venture; its Faisalabad plant has been building Hyundais since 2019. It then launched OMODA and JAECOO with Chery, with assembly in the same city.

In 2025 its NexGen Auto arm was reported to be partnering Chery on an electric-vehicle factory worth around a hundred million dollars. In September 2026 it launched iCAUR, another Chery brand.

LUXEED would be the group's fourth Chery-linked venture. That is the real significance here: not a new badge arriving, but one Pakistani group steadily assembling a Chery multi-brand portfolio while also building Hyundais down the road.

Accessories for Pakistan's Premium EVs

Nothing exists for a car with no confirmed specification, and we would not pretend otherwise. Exact-fit parts are cut to measured dimensions.

For the electrified cars actually on the road here, there are stocked ranges for the BYD Sealion 7 and the BYD Atto 3, and for Nishat's own hybrid, the Hyundai Tucson HEV, all fitted in-house in Multan with nationwide delivery.

Final Thoughts

The Nishat Group LUXEED partnership is real and worth watching, but it is an agreement to explore a launch, published by the company itself, with no model, price or date attached.

Two things are worth keeping. LUXEED is not a battery-electric-only brand, and its newest model is a range-extender you cannot buy as a pure EV. And this is Nishat's fourth Chery-linked venture, which says more about where Pakistan's car market is heading than any single badge does.

We will update this page when models and pricing are confirmed. More in our automotive news and car guides.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is LUXEED coming to Pakistan?▾
An agreement to that effect has been signed and announced by the group itself, so the intention is on record. It is a cooperation document rather than a supply contract, however, and the company states that model, specification, pricing and timing details all follow later.
When will LUXEED launch in Pakistan?▾
No date exists. The announcement explicitly defers the local timeline, and no showroom, booking channel or first-delivery window has been mentioned. Watch for a follow-up statement from the group rather than for leaks, since nothing can be scheduled before a line-up is chosen.
What is the expected LUXEED price in Pakistan?▾
Not set, and any rupee figure circulating is somebody's arithmetic on a Chinese list price. Duties, taxes, freight, warranty provision, the exchange rate and whether vehicles are imported or put together locally all intervene. The same group's existing Chinese-brand SUVs sit in the Rs 9.5 to 12.5 million range ex-factory, which is a useful floor rather than a forecast.
Who makes LUXEED cars?▾
It is a joint creation of Chery and Huawei, sitting inside the latter's mobility alliance. Vehicle engineering and production are Chery's responsibility, while the cabin software, assisted-driving suite and digital drive systems come from Huawei. That split is the whole premise of the brand rather than a footnote to it.
Is LUXEED a fully electric or hybrid brand?▾
Both, which trips people up. One of its three vehicles comes either as a pure battery car or with a petrol generator on board, and the newest arrival is offered solely in generator form. So check the powertrain of the specific version, not the brand, and treat any range claim as meaningless without the test cycle beside it.
Will LUXEED cars be assembled in Pakistan?▾
The announcement says nothing about it. Worth knowing is that the group has form: it builds Hyundais in Faisalabad and its own statement describes local assembly for its earlier Chinese brands there too, so the capability is in place. Capability is not a commitment, and no plan has been declared for this badge.
