The iCAUR V25 made its global debut on 21 October 2026 with a choice of fully electric or range-extended power, a 335 kW dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, 1.8 tonnes of towing capacity and a 6 kW power outlet.
It matters here more than most new Chinese SUVs, because iCAUR already sells in Pakistan the V23 and V27 launched in September, with deliveries beginning about now.
Below is what Chery actually published, what it pointedly did not, and one widely repeated range figure that belongs to a different car.
iCAUR V25 Specs: What the Official Release Gives
These figures come from Chery's own debut announcement. The brand is called iCAR in China and iCAUR for export, so Chinese-language coverage of the same car says iCAR V25.
| Specification | Officially stated |
|---|---|
| Powertrains | BEV and REEV |
| Dual-motor i-AWD | 335 kW, 505 N·m combined |
| Towing | 1.8 tonnes |
| V2L output | 6 kW |
| Trunk | 1,549 litres, plus 41 storage compartments |
| BEV extras | Front trunk and 22 litres underfloor |
| Battery capacity | Not published |
| Driving range | Not published |
| Dimensions and wheelbase | Not published |
The 335 kW and 505 N·m are given for the dual-motor i-AWD system rather than assigned to a named variant. On dimensions the release offers only a height-to-width ratio of 0.96 and a claimed 66.4 per cent longitudinal space efficiency — so any length, width or wheelbase figure you see quoted has come from somewhere else.
The Range Figure That Belongs to a Different Car
This is the mistake to watch for. Chery's announcement does contain a 1,000 km range figure — but it is for the V27, not the V25.
The release gives no battery capacity and no range figure at all for the V25, in either BEV or REEV form. Any number attached to this car today has come from outside the manufacturer's announcement.
Worth noting the test cycle as well: the V27's figure is quoted on NEDC, the oldest and most generous of the major standards. An NEDC number is not comparable with a CLTC, WLTP or WLTC one, and it flatters a car considerably. Treat any 1,000 km claim accordingly, and do not transfer it to the V25.
EV or REEV? The Five Driving Modes
The V25 comes either as a BEV, which is purely electric and charges from a socket, or as a REEV — a range-extended electric vehicle.
A REEV is worth understanding properly, because it is not a hybrid in the usual sense. The wheels are driven by electric motors at all times; the petrol engine exists only to generate electricity when the battery runs low. It never drives the wheels directly.
Chery gives the REEV five power-management modes: Forced EV, EV Priority, Hybrid, Fuel First and Forced Charge. The useful ones in Pakistani conditions are the last two — Fuel First preserves battery for later, and Forced Charge builds charge while driving, which matters when you cannot rely on finding a charger.
On the drivetrain, i-AWD switches between two-wheel and all-wheel drive according to road conditions rather than running all four wheels permanently. Chery also claims 44.5 per cent maximum thermal efficiency for the range extender and a conversion rate of 3.71 kWh per litre of fuel.
Towing, V2L and Storage
Three practical numbers stand out. 1.8 tonnes of towing is substantial for a vehicle of this type, and unusual for an electric SUV at this size.
The 6 kW V2L output is arguably more useful here than anywhere. Vehicle-to-load turns the car into a generator: 6 kW will run household essentials during load-shedding, power tools on a site, or lights and equipment well away from a mains supply.
Storage is a selling point too — a 1,549-litre trunk and 41 separate compartments, with the BEV adding a front trunk and 22 litres under the floor. The release pairs that with a claimed 66.4 per cent longitudinal space efficiency, which is a roundabout way of saying the boxy shape is doing useful work.
Safety and the "540-Degree" Camera
The body is a cage structure with five horizontal and six vertical beams, 80 per cent high-strength steel and a stated torsional stiffness of 30,000 N·m per degree. Chery says it is designed to mainstream five-star safety standards — which is a design target, not an awarded rating.
Restraints are six airbags plus a front centre airbag, with dual-stage load-limiting seatbelts. The centre airbag is the one that matters in a side impact, keeping front occupants from striking each other.
Driver assistance is a Level 2 suite: adaptive cruise, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot detection, a driver monitoring system and automatic parking.
It also lists a 540-degree surround-view camera, which deserves translating. Nothing sees 540 degrees; the term describes a 360-degree surround view plus a see-through view of the ground beneath the car, assembled from stored frames as the vehicle moves. Genuinely useful for kerbs and open drains — just not a measurement.
iCAUR in Pakistan: Already Here
This is where the V25 becomes relevant rather than academic, and why iCAUR V25 Pakistan searches are worth answering properly. NexGen Auto, part of the Nishat Group, launched iCAUR in Pakistan on 17 September 2026 with two models.
| Model | Powertrain | Ex-factory price |
|---|---|---|
| V23 RWD | Single motor, electric | Rs 9,499,000 |
| V23 AWD | Dual motor, electric | Rs 11,499,000 |
| V27 | REEV, 1.5T petrol generator | Rs 12,499,000 |
Booking amount Rs 2,500,000 per model, with bookings opened at the Pakistan Auto Show on 18 September. Customer deliveries were scheduled to begin by the end of October. No local assembly was announced.
That price ladder is the most useful thing a Pakistani reader can have, because the V25 sits between the V23 and the V27 in the range. You can see where the brackets are without anyone inventing a figure.
The V25 itself has no announced Pakistan launch, price or booking. The only forward-looking date Chery has given concerns its customised versions, covered below.
Our V23 and V27 booking update and V23 specifications guide cover the two you can actually buy today.
V23 vs V25 vs V27: Which Does What
The V-Series is easier to understand as three answers to the same question: how much do you want to depend on a charger?
The V23 is the pure electric choice and the entry point, offered here with either a single rear motor or a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup. It suits a buyer with reliable home charging and mostly urban mileage.
The V27 sits at the top of the Pakistani range and removes the charging question entirely. As a range-extended vehicle with a 1.5-litre turbocharged generator, it drives on electricity but never needs a charger to complete a journey — which is why it is the most expensive of the three here.
The V25 is the interesting one precisely because it offers both. The same model is available as a BEV or a REEV, so the powertrain becomes a trim decision rather than a different car.
On the figures published so far, the V25 also looks the most capability-focused of the three. 1.8 tonnes of towing and a 6 kW outlet are not numbers aimed at city buyers.
Where it would sit on price here is unknowable until it is announced, but the V23 and V27 brackets above show the shape of the range.
The Customised Versions and Early 2027
Alongside the debut, Chery confirmed three officially customised models: the V23 Forge, V25 Game Changer and V27 Sun Roam, which roll out to global markets from early 2027.
That is the only forward-looking date in the announcement, and it is worth reading carefully. It applies to the three customised versions reaching global markets — not to the standard V25 arriving in any particular country, and certainly not to Pakistan.
It does tell you something about intent, though. Factory-customised variants and accessory mounting designed in from the start suggest a brand expecting owners to personalise these cars, which is a different proposition from most SUVs sold here.
iCAUR V25 Accessories and Customisation
Customisation is central to how iCAUR markets the V-Series, and the V25 is designed with accessory mounting in mind. That does not mean accessories exist for it yet.
An important caution: V23 accessories should not be assumed to fit the V25. These are different vehicles with different interior dimensions and different mounting points, and exact-fit products are cut to one specific cabin.
We stock exact-fit accessories for the iCAUR models already on Pakistani roads, and everything is fitted in-house in Multan with nationwide delivery. Tell us your model and year and we will confirm fitment before you order anything — the full catalogue is here.
Final Thoughts
The iCAUR V25 arrives with genuinely interesting numbers: 335 kW through a dual-motor i-AWD system, 1.8 tonnes of towing, a 6 kW outlet that would earn its keep during load-shedding, and a choice between pure electric and range-extended power.
What it does not yet have is a published battery size, a range figure or a set of dimensions — and the 1,000 km number circulating alongside it belongs to the V27. With the V23 and V27 already selling here at Rs 9.5 to 12.5 million, the V25 is worth watching. Full figures are in Chery's official debut announcement.
