2027 Cadillac Escalade-V Collector Series: 682 HP, Price & 252-Unit Limit

The 2027 Cadillac Escalade-V 125th Anniversary Collector Series costs about $239,000, is capped at 252 cars, and brings no extra power whatsoever.

That last part is not an oversight. And the number 252 turns out to be anything but arbitrary once you look at how Cadillac is numbering them.

What the Collector Series Actually Is

Announced on 22 October 2026, this is a limited-production anniversary edition of the existing Escalade-V, marking 125 years of Cadillac. Orders are open in the United States and Canada.

Read that framing carefully, because it governs everything else. This is not a faster Escalade-V. It is a trim, materials and provenance exercise built on the car Cadillac already sells, and it is priced as a collectable rather than as a performance upgrade.

Why Exactly 252 Cars

This is the detail worth knowing, and it does not appear to have been spelled out anywhere. Cadillac's release says each exterior colour has cars labelled “1902–2027”, one for every year of the company's history, and that there are two exterior colours.

Count the years inclusively. From 1902 to 2027 is 126 dates. Two colours, 126 cars each, gives exactly 252.

So the run is not a round marketing number. It is one car per year of Cadillac's existence, twice over, and buyers choose their own VIN and serial number from that set.

If you do the subtraction and get 125, you have not made a mistake. The gap between 1902 and 2027 is 125 years, but labelling both the founding year and the anniversary year gives 126 dates — one more than the years elapsed. A 125th anniversary with 126 numbers is correct, if slightly confusing.

2027 Cadillac Escalade-V Price and the Premium

Cadillac quotes a starting price of roughly $239,000, including destination freight, excluding tax, title and dealer fees, and notes that the dealer sets the final price. The announcement is published in full on Cadillac's newsroom.

The useful comparison is against the car it is based on. The standard Escalade-V starts at about $170,895.

  Standard Escalade-V Collector Series
Starting price, US About $170,895 About $239,000
Power 682 hp 682 hp
Torque 653 lb-ft 653 lb-ft
Production Series model 252 cars

Collector Series price from Cadillac's announcement. Standard car price is a current US market figure for comparison and may not include destination, so treat the gap as approximate rather than exact.

That puts the premium at roughly $68,000, or about 40 per cent — around 1.4 times the price of the standard car — for paint, trim, a serial number and scarcity. Across the whole run that is close to $60 million of Escalades.

The Engine, and What Cadillac Pointedly Did Not Say

Here is something telling. Cadillac's announcement does not mention the engine at all — no displacement, no horsepower, no torque, no transmission, no acceleration figure.

For a performance special edition, that silence is the message. There is nothing new to announce, so the release talks about carbon fibre and seat belts instead.

The Escalade-V's published figures are a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 with 682 hp and 653 lb-ft, and no revision has been announced for this edition. In the units most Pakistani readers use, that is about 509 kW, 691 PS and 885 Nm.

Worth being precise, though: those numbers come from the standard model's specification, not from this announcement. Cadillac has not published a separate figure for the Collector Series, and nothing suggests the engine has changed.

What Changes Outside and Inside

Externally: unique forged 24-inch wheels, carbon fibre on the grille surround, lower rear fascia, mirror caps and engine cover, blue brake calipers, dark-finish badges and Heritage V8 puddle lamps.

Only the two colours already mentioned are offered, Midnight Stone Frost and Vibrant White Tricoat, which is what makes the arithmetic above work.

Inside, a black and Sheer Gray two-tone cabin with Santorini Blue stitching and matching Santorini Blue seat belts, illuminated sill plates, exclusive badging, Collector Series floor mats and a blue key fob.

Forged wheels on a limited edition are a recurring theme in this segment, as our look at the Hyundai Elantra N and its forged wheels covers. Coloured seat belts and a matching key are a neat touch, and the sort of thing that survives in a collector's memory longer than a tenth of a second off a lap time.

Can You Get One in Pakistan?

Realistically, no, and the obstacle is not paperwork. All 252 cars are allocated to the United States and Canada, and buyers select their own VIN. This is not a car that leaks into the grey-import channel.

To own one here you would first have to secure a US or Canadian allocation at or above $239,000, then import it privately. No Pakistan price exists and no local launch has been announced, because this edition was never offered here.

On the import side, the governing document is the Ministry of Commerce Import Policy Order. One clause matters particularly for a collectable: a vehicle counts as new only if it is under twelve months old, unregistered and has covered no more than 500 km.

We are not going to print a landed cost. A 6.2-litre V8 sits far above the engine sizes Pakistan's duty structure is built around, and anyone quoting you a figure without a current calculation is guessing. Get a clearing agent's written working before you believe any number.

For how the broader duty and policy picture is moving, our coverage of the 2026–31 auto policy and the IMF talks is the better starting point.

Is the Premium Worth It?

If you are buying a car, no. The standard Escalade-V delivers every one of the 682 horses for about $68,000 less, and nothing in the Collector Series makes it quicker.

If you are buying an object, the calculation is different. A run of 252, a self-selected serial number tied to a specific year of the company's history, and two colours that will never be repeated are the ingredients collectors actually price.

Whether that holds its value is unknowable and we are not going to forecast it. What can be said is that Cadillac has structured this one thoughtfully — the numbering genuinely means something, which is more than most anniversary editions manage.

Final Thoughts

The 2027 Cadillac Escalade-V Collector Series is a well-made piece of exclusivity rather than a faster SUV, and it is honest enough about that to not even discuss the engine.

Three things to take away. The 252 is 126 years of history in each of two colours, which is a genuinely elegant piece of product planning. The premium is about 40 per cent over the standard car for zero additional power. And with every car spoken for in North America, Pakistan was never on the list.

If big performance SUVs are your interest, our piece on the Mercedes-AMG GT SUV sits in the same territory, and there is more in our automotive news and car guides.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the Collector Series cost?▾
Around $239,000 to start in the United States, a figure that covers destination freight but not tax, title or dealer fees, and the retailer sets the final number. Against roughly $170,895 for the ordinary version, that is a premium near forty per cent.
Why are there 252 of them?▾
Because each of the two paint finishes gets one car for every year from 1902 to 2027. Counted inclusively that span holds 126 dates, and doubling it lands precisely on the production cap. The figure is derived from the company's own history rather than chosen for effect.
Does it make more power than the regular version?▾
No, and the launch material does not discuss the powertrain whatsoever, which rather makes the point. The donor car's published output is 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet from a supercharged 6.2-litre eight, equivalent to 691 PS and 885 Nm. No revision has been announced.
What do you actually get for the extra money?▾
Two exclusive finishes, forged 24-inch rims, blue calipers, darkened badging, heritage puddle lamps, and carbon fibre applied at four points around the body and under the bonnet. Within, two-tone upholstery with Santorini Blue stitching and belts, lit sill plates, bespoke mats and a blue key.
Can buyers pick their own serial number?▾
Yes, the manufacturer says purchasers get to choose both the chassis identifier and the serial, subject to how ordering works at their retailer. Since each number corresponds to a particular year in the marque's past, the appeal of claiming a personally meaningful date is obvious.
Is it available in Pakistan?▾
No. Every example is spoken for across the American and Canadian markets, so there is no local launch, no local price and no dealer backing. Securing one would mean buying a North American allocation and importing it privately, and we would not trust any landed cost quoted without a formal calculation.
