That power range is the workhorse category for most Punjab farms enough for ploughing, sowing and general cultivation on small and medium holdings, without the cost and fuel consumption of a larger machine.
Green Tractor Scheme Phase 5: Rs. 1 Million Subsidy
Phase 5, the high-power phase, covers 9,500 tractors from 75 to 125 HP with a subsidy of Rs. 1 million, and a minimum landholding of 7 acres.
The higher land requirement follows the logic of the machine: a 125 HP tractor on five acres would be more capacity than the land can justify. Larger holdings, heavier implements and contract work are where this category pays for itself.
Who Is Eligible?
The landholding requirement is the first filter: 5 acres for Phase 4 and 7 acres for Phase 5.
Applications are verified through NADRA and the Punjab Land Records Authority, which means your CNIC details and your land record have to match what you have declared. Discrepancies in land records are the most common reason applications fail, so it is worth checking your record before applying rather than after.
Selection is by digital balloting among eligible applicants. Meeting the criteria makes you eligible; it does not guarantee a tractor.
