Nissan has unveiled the Pixo, a new A-segment electric city car for Europe with a 27.5 kWh LFP battery, up to 259 km of WLTP range and 50 kW DC fast charging.
It slots in below the Micra as Nissan's smallest EV, and it arrives with technology usually reserved for far larger cars including Google built-in and the Gemini assistant.

Battery, Range and Charging
The 27.5 kWh LFP battery is deliberately modest. A small city car does not need 80 kWh, and a smaller pack means less weight, lower cost and — with LFP chemistry — good tolerance of heat and frequent charging.
50 kW DC charging takes the battery from 15% to 80% in about 28 minutes. That is not headline-grabbing next to 350 kW systems, but on a pack this size it is the sensible pairing: a bigger charging system would add cost for little real benefit.
More interesting is the 11 kW bidirectional AC charging, which means the car can send energy out as well as take it in the beginnings of using a parked car as a power source rather than just a consumer.
Size and Practicality
At 3,796 mm long with a 9.9-metre turning circle, the Pixo is built for tight streets and difficult parking. The turning circle is the number city drivers feel most often it decides whether a U-turn is one movement or three.
Inside, sliding rear seats let owners trade legroom for luggage. The boot holds 356 litres, rising to 1,221 litres with the rear seats folded generous for a car under 3.8 metres.
Design
The Pixo introduces pixel-inspired lighting as part of Nissan's newer EV design language, offered in colours including Wonder Purple and Gear Blue. Small cars live or die on character, and Nissan has clearly decided not to play it safe.
Technology
This is where the Pixo punches above its class. It has Google built-in with the Gemini assistant handling navigation, entertainment and communication by voice — Nissan is bringing Gemini into the A-segment with this car.
There is also Face ID for driver recognition, the MyNissan app, a 7-inch driver display and a 10-inch infotainment screen. A decade ago this equipment list belonged to executive saloons.
Driving and Safety
The 60 kW motor is matched to the car's purpose rather than chasing acceleration figures. One Pedal driving lets you slow the car by lifting off the accelerator, which becomes second nature in traffic, and the assistance list includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and hands-free parking.

Nissan has not announced pricing. Pricing, market-specific specifications and pre-order information are scheduled from December 2026, with customer deliveries from early 2027.
