Harley-Davidson Sprint 440: 2027 Specs, Features & Price

The Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 is a 440cc single aimed squarely at new riders. It makes 27 horsepower, weighs 412 lb and claims up to 80 mpg.

It was revealed on 2 November and makes its public debut at the Milan show from 5 to 8 November.

For readers here the short answer is that Pakistan is not on Harley's market list. The longer answer is more interesting.

What Harley Publishes, and What It Does Not

Worth separating these, because most of the spec table in circulation is not on Harley's own page.

The official US page gives six things. Engine capacity, weight, seat height, suspension, fuel economy and availability. Plus final assembly at York, Pennsylvania.

It gives no power figure, no torque figure, no transmission, no brakes, no wheel sizes and no price.

Those come from the press material and trade coverage. They are almost certainly right. But they are not what Harley is putting in front of customers.

So we have marked below which is which.

Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 Specifications

Item Figure
Engine 440cc air and oil-cooled single
Power (reported) 27 hp at 6,000 rpm
Torque (reported) 28 lb-ft at 4,000 rpm, about 38 Nm
Gearbox (reported) Six-speed
Weight 412 lb, about 187 kg
Seat height 26.4 in, about 671 mm
Front suspension 43 mm inverted fork
Rear suspension Piggyback shocks, preload adjustable
Brakes (reported) 320 mm front, 240 mm rear, ABS
Wheels (reported) 19 in front, 17 in rear
Display (reported) 3.5 in colour TFT, LED, USB-C
Fuel economy Up to 80 US mpg claimed

Note the units on two of those. Harley gives 28 lb-ft and 412 lb. The 38 Nm and 187 kg are conversions.

You may also see the seat height given as 683mm. Harley's own figure is 26.4 inches, or about 671mm. Use that one.

Twelve millimetres sounds trivial. On a bike sold on how easily you reach the ground, it is not.

Eighty Miles Per Gallon, in Which Gallon?

This matters more here than anywhere, because nobody in Pakistan thinks in miles per gallon.

Eighty US miles per gallon works out at about 34 kilometres per litre.

Eighty imperial miles per gallon would be about 28 kilometres per litre instead.

That is a 20 percent difference, so the gallon you assume changes the answer substantially.

The figure appears on Harley's US site, so it is US gallons. That makes it about 34 km per litre. The conversion is ours, not Harley's.

The tank holds 2.4 US gallons, or roughly 9.1 litres. On that claim, expect something near 309 kilometres between fills.

Treat that as arithmetic rather than a promise. Real consumption depends on how and where you ride.

The Engine Is Not Actually New

Here is the context missing from most coverage of this launch.

The Sprint 440 shares its foundations with the Harley-Davidson X440, which has been on sale since July 2023.

That bike is built in India with Hero MotoCorp. Its 440cc air and oil-cooled single makes about 27 horsepower and 28 lb-ft, through a six-speed box.

Those are the Sprint's numbers too. European coverage has described the new bike as that machine dressed as a cruiser.

Which is not a criticism. On a beginner bike, three years of road use behind the engine is an argument in its favour.

One naming point while we are here, because it gets muddled constantly.

There is no Hero X440. The X440 is badged a Harley-Davidson and built by Hero. The Hero-badged machine on that platform is the Mavrick 440.

Price: One Figure Confirmed, One Only Expected

Be careful with the numbers circulating here, because two very different things are being quoted together.

The Canadian starting price is CAD 8,499, and that advertised figure includes freight and dealer setup.

A US price of 5,999 dollars is also being reported. That one is described as expected rather than confirmed, and Harley's own page lists no price at all.

So the two are not comparable even as currencies.

One includes delivery and setup charges. The other, by convention, would not. Comparing them directly overstates the gap.

And neither tells you anything about what the bike would cost here.

Is the Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 Coming to Pakistan?

No launch has been announced, and the detail of Harley's own market list is worth reading closely.

Harley's Asia-Pacific page names the Philippines and Malaysia as planned markets, with timing yet to be confirmed.

It then goes further and states that the Sprint 440 is not currently planned for Singapore or Hong Kong.

Pakistan appears in neither list. Not planned, and not ruled out either.

That distinction is the honest answer. Harley considered two markets and declined them. Pakistan is not in the conversation at all.

Which does not mean it never will be. It means there is nothing official to report, and no price.

If you are thinking about a private import, two practical points.

The platform is built in India. So check import eligibility for your route before committing to anything.

The cost side is where private imports usually come unstuck. Our guide to motorcycle parts import duty in Pakistan explains how those charges build up.

And work out duty, registration and after-sales support first. A 440cc Harley with no parts supply or trained workshop is a very different proposition.

Parts matter as much as the bike. Duty rates move, and our update on import duties on tyres and motorcycle parts is worth reading before you commit to anything imported.

Anyone quoting you a Pakistani price today is guessing.

And if the real question is which new bike you can buy here now, that is a different conversation. The locally available options include electric machines like the Jolta JE 125 electric bike, which needs no import at all.

America Waits Longest, Which Tells You Something

The rollout order is genuinely unusual.

International dealers are due to get the bike from late 2026, with timing varying by market.

The United States is scheduled for spring 2027, and an Indian launch is reported for early 2027.

So Harley's home market waits longest for a Harley assembled in Pennsylvania.

American coverage has noticed, with at least one outlet asking whether this is the beginner cruiser Americans cannot buy.

For a reader here that is the useful signal. Asian demand is pulling this rollout along. That is the only route by which it would ever arrive.

Why It Suits New Riders

Strip away the badge and the numbers make sense for someone stepping up from a 125.

Twenty-seven horsepower from 440cc is a mild state of tune, at about 61 horsepower per litre.

The torque peak arrives at 4,000 rpm. So it pulls from low revs rather than demanding you chase the red line.

And the low seat is the real beginner feature. Being able to put both feet down at a standstill does more for confidence than any power figure.

ABS is standard, with a 320mm front disc and a 240mm rear.

At 187 kilograms it is not light in absolute terms. But it is light for a cruiser. And the weight is carried low.

Final Thoughts

The Sprint 440 looks like a sensible motorcycle, and an honest one. A proven Indian-built 440cc single, a low seat, ABS as standard. The claimed 80 US mpg works out near 34 kilometres per litre. And the engine has been earning its keep in the X440 since 2023, which counts in its favour rather than against it.

For Pakistan the position is simply that there is nothing to announce. Harley lists the Philippines and Malaysia, states plainly that Singapore and Hong Kong are not planned, and does not mention Pakistan either way. So treat any local price you are quoted as invented. And if you are considering a private import, settle duty, registration and parts support before the bike rather than after it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Harley-Davidson Sprint 440?

A 2027 lightweight motorcycle developed with Hero MotoCorp, built around a 440cc single-cylinder engine and aimed at new and returning riders. Final assembly for the United States is at York, Pennsylvania.

How much power and torque does it make?

Reported figures are 27 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 28 lb-ft at 4,000 rpm, which converts to roughly 38 Nm. Note that neither figure appears on Harley's own consumer page, so both come from the press material.

What is the seat height?

Harley gives 26.4 inches laden, which is close to 671 millimetres. A figure of 683mm also circulates, so use the official one if you are judging whether you can reach the ground comfortably.

What fuel average does it claim?

Up to 80 miles per gallon, and because that appears on Harley's US site it means US gallons. That equates to roughly 34 kilometres per litre. The same number read as imperial gallons would give about 28, so the distinction matters.

What does the Sprint 440 cost?

Canada has a confirmed starting price of CAD 8,499, which includes freight and dealer setup. A figure of 5,999 dollars is reported for the United States but is described as expected, and Harley's page shows no price yet.

Is it coming to Pakistan?

Nothing has been announced. Harley's Asia-Pacific page lists the Philippines and Malaysia as planned and says Singapore and Hong Kong are not, while Pakistan is in neither list. There is no official local price.

When does it go on sale?

International dealers are due to receive it from late 2026, with timing varying by market, and the United States is scheduled for spring 2027. An Indian launch has been reported for early 2027.

Is it the same as the X440?

It shares the platform and engine. The X440 is a Harley-Davidson, built in India with Hero MotoCorp and on sale since July 2023. So the Sprint uses a powertrain with a track record rather than a brand-new one.

Is there a Hero-badged version?

Yes, the Hero Mavrick 440 sits on the same platform. Note that there is no Hero X440, despite the name circulating widely, because the X440 carries Harley-Davidson badging.

Where does it make its public debut?

At the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, running 5 to 8 November 2026. More detail will probably emerge during the show, so expect the specification picture to fill in.
