The Fuel Relief Scheme now reaches further back. Motorcycles, rickshaws and Qingqi rickshaws registered after 1 January 2006 qualify for the Rs. 100 per litre relief which covers vehicles up to roughly 20 years old.
That matters, because the people who depend most on an older bike or rickshaw are usually the ones a fuel increase hits hardest.

Worth reading that date carefully, because it works both ways. A vehicle registered after 1 January 2006 is in. Anything registered before that date is not and those are the genuinely old vehicles still running on Pakistani roads in large numbers.

Check the registration date on your vehicle's documents rather than estimating from the model year. The two do not always match, and on a cutoff like this the paperwork is what counts.
How Much Relief Can Bike and Rickshaw Owners Get?
The arithmetic is simple: 20 litres × Rs. 100 = up to Rs. 2,000 a month for motorcycles, rickshaws and Qingqi rickshaws.
For a household running a single motorcycle, 20 litres covers a good share of ordinary monthly commuting. For a rickshaw driver, fuel is a direct business cost rather than a household expense, so Rs. 2,000 comes straight off the running cost of earning.

What About 800cc Cars?
Cars with engines up to 800cc have a higher monthly allowance of 30 litres, worth up to Rs. 3,000. The larger quota reflects the simple fact that a car uses more fuel than a bike over the same distance.
Why Older Bikes and Rickshaws Were Added
Older two- and three-wheelers are not a marginal category in Pakistan — they are a large part of how people actually get to work and how goods move short distances.
A motorcycle bought fifteen years ago is often still someone's only vehicle, kept running because replacing it is not realistic. Rickshaws and Qingqi rickshaws are frequently income-generating assets rather than personal transport.
Restricting relief to newer vehicles would have excluded much of the group the scheme is meant to help, since affordability is exactly why these vehicles are old in the first place. With latest petrol price in Pakistan levels where they are, that distinction matters.
