The Changan UNI-S price in Pakistan has still not been announced six months after the SUV was officially unveiled here, and after two expected launch windows have come and gone.
That waiting is the most useful thing to know about this car right now. Below are the specifications that are actually reported, the timeline as it has unfolded, and the two very different fuel-average claims circulating about it.
Changan UNI-S Price in Pakistan
Not announced. There is no official retail price, no published variant line-up and no booking sheet.
What there is instead is a spread of guesses. At least three different speculative ranges are in circulation across Pakistani motoring coverage, and between the lowest and the highest they differ by around Rs 15 lakh.
We are not going to print any of them, because a number in an article becomes the number a reader remembers, and all three are estimates built on an unpriced car.
Confirm the price with Changan Pakistan or an authorised dealership when it is announced. If you are thinking of booking early, read our piece on the proposed new car booking rules in Pakistan first the 20 per cent cap and price-lock proposals matter most precisely when a car has no confirmed price.
The Launch Timeline, and Why It Matters
This is the part most coverage leaves out, and it tells you more than any specification.
| When | What happened |
|---|---|
| 19 April 2026 | Officially unveiled in Pakistan as a high-tier C-segment SUV. No bookings, no price. Formal launch expected May 2026 |
| 30 May 2026 | An analyst launch tracker moves the expectation to June 2026. Changan still has not published Pakistan specifications, features or pricing |
| October 2026 | Still showcased rather than sold. No price, no booking sheet |
Two expected launch windows have passed without a commercial launch. Expected dates from trackers and analysts are forecasts, not commitments from the manufacturer.
None of that means the car is cancelled. It does mean that a Changan UNI-S launch date in Pakistan quoted anywhere today should be read as a forecast, and that anyone planning around a delivery date is planning around a guess.
Changan UNI-S 2026 Specifications
These are the reported Changan UNI-S specs for the turbo-petrol version. No Pakistan-market specification sheet has been published, so treat every line as reported rather than confirmed.
| Specification | Reported |
|---|---|
| Engine | 1.5-litre Blue Whale turbocharged petrol |
| Maximum power | 178 hp, with up to 185 hp also reported |
| Maximum torque | 280 Nm, with up to 300 Nm also reported |
| Transmission | 7-speed dual-clutch automatic |
| Drivetrain | Front-wheel drive |
| Top speed | About 190 km/h, approximate |
| 0–100 km/h | Not published |
The power and torque figures appear as approximate ranges in some reporting, so the lower numbers are the safe assumption rather than the certain ones.
One naming oddity worth clearing up. The engine is from Changan's Blue Whale turbo-petrol family, though one industry report labels it BlueCore. BlueCore is the name Changan attaches to its hybrid system, so the two have been crossed over somewhere in the reporting chain.
Dimensions and Practicality
Two independent sources agree on the dimensions, which makes these the most solid figures available: 4,539 mm long, 1,865 mm wide and 1,680 mm tall, on a 2,656 mm wheelbase.
That puts it squarely in the compact-to-midsize crossover class, slightly shorter than a Toyota Corolla Cross-sized footprint but noticeably wider. Seating is five.
Boot capacity, ground clearance, kerb weight and fuel-tank size have not been published for any market we could verify. Ground clearance in particular is worth asking a dealer about directly, because it is the specification that decides how a car copes with Pakistani speed breakers and broken surfaces, and it is the one almost never quoted.
Changan UNI-S Fuel Average: Two Different Claims
This is where readers are most likely to be misled, because two numbers are circulating and they belong to two different cars.
| Version | Claimed average | Status |
|---|---|---|
| 1.5 turbo petrol | about 17 km/l | Approximate, claimed |
| Hybrid (HEV) | up to about 25 km/l | Approximate, claimed |
Neither figure is an independently tested result, and no verified real-world Pakistani average exists for either version.
The important rule is simple: the 25 km/l claim belongs to the hybrid and cannot be applied to the turbo petrol. If you are quoted that figure for a petrol UNI-S, the two have been mixed up.
Both numbers are manufacturer-side claims too, and in local conditions stop-start traffic, heat, air conditioning running constantly claims of that kind are optimistic by nature. The cost side of ownership keeps moving as well, as our coverage of duty changes shows.
The Hybrid Variant: An HEV, Not a Plug-In
A hybrid UNI-S using Changan's BlueCore HEV system has been reported. The distinction matters, because a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid are different cars to own.
An HEV charges its own small battery from the engine and braking, and never plugs in. A PHEV has a larger battery, plugs into a charger and can run some distance on electricity alone. Some coverage of the UNI-S mentions a plug-in version, but that is not established and the consistent reporting points to a conventional hybrid.
Combined system power, battery capacity and any electric-only range have not been published, and neither has confirmation that the hybrid is coming to Pakistan at all. Treat it as a variant that exists in the model line rather than one you can order here.
Interior, Infotainment and Comfort
The cabin is reported around a 12.8-inch touchscreen with an eight-speaker audio system, plus Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
Also reported are an eight-way electric driver's seat and four-way passenger seat, heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, 50W wireless charging, a cooled centre console, a power tailgate, a voice assistant, a smartphone key and a welcome-seat function.
A digital instrument cluster is part of the package, but we could not verify its size from a source we trust, so we are not quoting one. Equipment also routinely differs between markets, and no Pakistan-specification feature list exists yet assume nothing carries over until a local brochure says it does.
Safety, ADAS and the "540-Degree" Camera
The reported safety package is six airbags and a Level 2 driver-assistance suite, covering adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning and lane keeping, forward and rear collision warning, autonomous emergency braking and a door-opening warning.
Then there is the 540-degree camera, which deserves explaining rather than repeating. No camera system sees 540 degrees of anything; the term is used by several Chinese manufacturers to mean a 360-degree surround view plus a see-through view of the ground under the car, assembled from stored frames as the vehicle moves.
It is a genuinely useful feature here seeing a kerb edge or an open drain beneath the front bumper is worth more in a Pakistani street than most spec-sheet entries. It is simply not a measurement. Remote parking from the key fob is also reported, and the exact local configuration of ABS, stability control and tyre-pressure monitoring is unconfirmed.
Changan UNI-S vs Changan Oshan X7
The comparison that matters is not really about specifications. The Oshan X7 is on sale, priced, financed and serviced in Pakistan today. The UNI-S is not.
Master Changan was reported as Pakistan's fourth-largest automobile brand in 2025, and that position was built on cars people could actually buy, with parts on shelves and workshops that know them.
The UNI-S looks the more modern product on paper newer design language, a dual-clutch gearbox, a Level 2 assistance suite. Against that sits every unknown: price, warranty terms, service intervals, parts availability and resale.
For a buyer with money ready this month, an established model wins on everything except specification.
There is also a mechanical point worth weighing. A seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox is quicker and more efficient than a torque converter, but these units are less forgiving of long periods of crawling traffic.
They also depend on a workshop network trained to service them, and on a model not yet launched that network does not exist here. It is a fair question to put to a dealer rather than a reason to avoid the car.
Changan UNI-S Accessories in Pakistan
There are no UNI-S-specific accessories yet, and we would rather say that than sell you something that does not fit.
Exact-fit products floor mats, trunk trays, dashboard covers, sun shades are cut to a confirmed set of interior dimensions. No Pakistan-specification UNI-S exists to measure, and its 2,656 mm wheelbase and interior mouldings will not match another Changan.
We do stock Changan accessories for models already on the road, including the Changan Alsvin range, and our full accessories catalogue is fitted in-house in Multan. When a local UNI-S variant is confirmed we will add fitment for it until then, ask us before ordering anything described as suitable.
Final Thoughts
The Changan UNI-S price in Pakistan remains unannounced six months after the car was unveiled, with two expected launch windows missed and no booking sheet. The specifications look competitive a 1.5 turbo with 178 hp, a 7-speed DCT, six airbags and Level 2 assistance but every one of them is reported rather than confirmed for this market.
Ignore any rupee figure you see quoted, keep the hybrid's 25 km/l claim away from the petrol car, and ask a dealer directly about ground clearance and warranty before committing to anything. We will update this article when an official price is announced.
