Type R Universal Bonnet Hood Lock Clip – Large Size (2 Piece)

This is the Type R Universal Clip bonnet hood lock set in large size a pair of racing-style toggle latch clips that mount on the front bonnet of the car. The large size gives a bolder, more prominent appearance on the bonnet compared to standard size clips, making the Type R branding more visible and the overall look more aggressive. Black painted finish, universal fit, 2 piece set.

Large Size for a Bolder, More Prominent Look

The Type R large size clips are physically bigger than standard bonnet clips — more visible on the bonnet, more prominent from the front, and more impactful as a styling statement on any car.

Bigger and More Visible Than Standard Size Clips

If you want the bonnet clips to stand out and be immediately noticed from the front of the car, the large size delivers exactly that a strong, confident motorsport look that smaller clips cannot match.

Sporty Racing Style Bonnet Locks

Bonnet clips are a signature motorsport accessory originally used on race and rally cars to secure the bonnet under high-speed conditions, and now widely fitted to road cars for their aggressive, performance-oriented appearance.

Type R Branded for an Authentic Racing Look

Each clip carries the Type R logo in red on the latch face, giving the set an authentic branded motorsport appearance that complements any performance-inspired car build.

Universal Fit for Most Cars

The clips are universal fit — the mounting bracket attaches to the bonnet and body panel with standard hardware on most car makes and models without vehicle-specific modification.

Black Painted Finish – Ready to Fit

Both clips come in a black painted finish — ready to fit straight out of the box with no additional painting or preparation required.

Secure Toggle Lock Mechanism

The toggle latch mechanism locks the bonnet down securely when closed and releases with a single motion when opening — a functional locking mechanism as well as a styling accessory.

Easy Installation on Most Bonnets

The clips mount using the included hardware directly to the bonnet edge and corresponding body panel — a straightforward installation at any workshop without specialist equipment.
