The petrol price in Pakistan today is Rs398.30 per litre, down Re0.66. High-speed diesel is up Re0.52 at Rs396.24.
OGRA revised the ex-depot prices under a notification from the Petroleum Division. The new rates run from Saturday 10 October to 12 October 2026.

How Much Have Petrol and Diesel Prices Changed?
Read the cut against what came before it. This is the second revision in two days, and the two went in opposite directions on petrol.
On Thursday petrol rose Rs2.31 and diesel Re0.78, as covered in our previous fuel price update. Friday’s revision then took 66 paisas back off petrol.
Net over the two days, petrol is still Rs1.65 higher than it was and diesel Rs1.30 higher. In percentage terms this revision moves petrol just −0.17% and diesel +0.13%.
One other shift worth noting. The gap between petrol and diesel has narrowed from Rs3.24 to Rs2.06, which matters if you run both in a household or a small fleet.
Why Did the Prices Change?
The Petroleum Division said the revision was “necessitated by global developments, including movements in Platts rates, premiums and incidentals”.
Those are import-cost inputs rather than domestic taxes, which is why small revisions now arrive every few days. The pressure behind them is set out in our report on rising fuel import costs.
When Do the Revised Prices Take Effect?
From Saturday 10 October, and they hold until 12 October 2026. That three-day window is why it is worth checking the rate rather than assuming last week’s.
