Is the Jetour T2 all-wheel drive?
No. The Pakistan-spec Jetour T2 i-DM is front-wheel drive.
This is the most misunderstood fact about the car. The boxy bodywork, rear-mounted spare, and "i-DM" badge — Intelligent Dual Motor — all suggest off-road hardware. The dual-motor architecture refers to the hybrid system's configuration, not to driven front and rear axles.
What FWD means in practice: the T2 handles broken roads, potholes, and light unpaved surfaces well, aided by Snow mode and crawl control. It will not deliver all-wheel-drive traction on steep loose climbs, deep sand, or snow-covered mountain passes.
If Northern Areas capability is your reason for buying, the Haval H6 PHEV costs PKR 100,000 more and has Hi4 all-wheel drive.

Booking fraud warning
Following a significant rise in pay order fraud, United Motors has restricted payment to a single authorised entity. All pay orders must be issued strictly under "United Motors (Pvt) Ltd". Delivery responsibility applies only if the pay order carries that exact name.
Avoid payments to dealership accounts, individual names, or altered spellings. A PKR 2.5 million pay order made out to a misspelled name is money you may not recover.
Jetour Pakistan reported over 1,000 bookings within 24 hours of launch. Expect allocation queues.

What is the Jetour T2's real-world electric range?
Expect 60–70 km, not the claimed 90 km.
The 90 km figure uses NEDC, an outdated laboratory cycle that overstates real consumption. In Karachi summer traffic with air conditioning running continuously, plan for roughly 60–70 km of electric driving.
The 1,100 km combined figure implies about 15 km/L from a 70-litre tank; realistic combined range is nearer 760–800 km depending on season.
Jetour T2 running costs in Pakistan
Charging the T2 at home costs roughly Rs 10–17 per kilometre, versus Rs 31.6 per kilometre for a petrol SUV.
Rates as of 21 July 2026: petrol is Rs 315.80 per litre following OGRA's Re 0.35 reduction, under Pakistan's new daily pricing mechanism. Domestic electricity reaches Rs 47.69 per unit above 700 units before adjustments; Karachi residential slabs run Rs 16.48–35.24 per unit plus FCA, QTA, and GST.

The slab trap most buyers miss: crossing 200 units in a month recalculates your entire bill at unprotected rates — not just units above 200. Daily charging adds roughly 550 units monthly. If your household sits near that threshold, charging the T2 raises the cost of all your electricity, not just the car's.
Without home charging, the economics collapse. You would carry 18.4 kWh of battery as dead weight. Apartment residents without a dedicated bay should consider a conventional self-charging hybrid instead.

Ventilated seats offset some of it. Beyond that there are two separate fixes, and they solve different problems:
UV film works while you drive. Applied permanently to the glass, it rejects heat and ultraviolet at the source, so the air conditioning has less to fight. On a PHEV that isn't just comfort — it's electric range you keep.
Quik Slide sun shades work when you're parked, and for the back row. Slide them across for the school run or a long afternoon in a car park, retract them when you don't need them. Nothing else keeps a parked cabin survivable in a Karachi summer, and rear passengers get shade on demand rather than permanently darker glass.
Most owners here want both: film for range while driving, shades for the parked hours and the kids in the back.
Crash testing: no ANCAP, Euro NCAP, or C-NCAP result exists for the T2 i-DM. Pakistan has no domestic crash programme, so there is no independent structural verification.
What should I do before my September delivery?
Book paint protection and interior protection now, while there's a two-month gap.
Bookings are placed; deliveries are two months out. That window is the right time to arrange protection — not the week after collection, once the paint has already met a Karachi car park.
Paint protection film (PPF)
The T2's flat, upright panels and large doors are precisely the geometry that collects trolley dings and door strikes. Bonnet, front bumper, mirrors, and door edges is the standard high-value application; full-body suits long-term keepers — which, given there's no resale data on this model, describes most T2 buyers.

Especially relevant here. Monsoon season, a five-seat cabin, and a boot you'll load for northern trips all favour TPE mats over carpet: waterproof, spills held in the tray rather than reaching the floor pan, hoses clean. On a PHEV, keeping moisture away from the floor structure matters more than on a petrol car, since battery and high-voltage components sit low. Pair them with a trunk mat if you're loading luggage for the north.

PKR 100,000 separates them — under 1% of purchase price. For that, the H6 adds all-wheel drive. If AWD matters at all, the H6 is the rational choice. If it doesn't, the T2 delivers 360 hp and equipment nothing else matches at this price.
Other rivals: the Chery Tiggo 9 PHEV at around Rs 13.69 million buys a full-size seven-seater — the only option if you need seven seats. The Haval H6 HEV, roughly PKR 3.8 million cheaper, is arguably smarter without home charging.
