A number plate frame is one of the cheapest ways to tidy up the front and rear of a car. It is also the accessory most likely to get you stopped, if you buy the wrong one.
So this is worth getting right before you order.
Our Vantiq number plate frames and covers are listed by car, with a colour and a name option on each one. Here is what each of those choices actually changes.
A Vantiq number plate frame is a custom frame and cover that surrounds the registration plate already on your car. The listings are per car model, the frame suits a standard government-sized plate, and it can go on the front or the rear. Red and white finishes are offered, with an optional custom name. The registration plate itself is not included.
First, What It Is Not
This is the part people get wrong, and it is worth being blunt about.
A frame is not a number plate. It is a surround that your official registration plate sits inside.
The product listing states this plainly too. The number plate is not included, and the frame is meant to be used with a compatible plate you already have.
So your plate stays exactly as the authorities issued it. The frame adds an edge around it, in your chosen colour, with a name on it if you ask for one.
If you came here looking for a replacement plate, or a differently designed registration plate, this is not that product. Those are issued, not bought as an accessory.
Keep that distinction in mind, because every legal question below follows from it.
The Three Choices You Make When You Order
Everything on the listing comes down to three decisions. Get them right and there is nothing else to think about.
Your car. The frames are listed per model, so you start by picking your vehicle rather than a size.
Many are offered for all models of that car. That is why a listing often names the car without naming a year range.
Red or white. Two finishes are offered, and this is the choice that decides how loud the result looks.
White tends to disappear into a light-coloured bumper and sharpen a dark one. Red reads as a deliberate accent, which suits a car that already has other styling pieces on it.
With a custom name, or without. Personalisation is a separate option you select at order time, not something every frame carries.
If you want one, send the exact spelling in writing. Printing cannot be undone afterwards.
There is a fourth thing worth settling while you are there. The frame is made for front and rear positions, so decide on one or a matching pair for both ends of the car.
What the Listing Says About Fit
This is where buyers usually want more than they are given, so here is the honest position.
The frame is described as designed to fit a standard government-sized number plate. It is also described as a custom fit for the car named on the listing.
The specification block covers the type, the style, the car it is for, its positions and its use.
What the listing does not state is the material, the fitting method, or whether drilling is needed.
That is not a verdict on the product. It means those answers come from asking us rather than from reading the page, and they are worth asking about before you order.
The listing's own advice is the right advice, and it is the step most people skip. Compare the frame against the number plate setup already on your car before you order.
Two things make that easy. Returns and exchanges are accepted within thirty days of delivery, and delivery is nationwide, so a wrong choice is recoverable rather than final.
We also will not claim a frame is scratch-proof, lifetime waterproof or vibration-free. Nobody can stand behind those words for any frame, at any price.
What a frame reliably does is tidy the plate area, hide a scuffed edge and hold the plate flat. That is a real benefit and it is enough.
Why Buying by Car Still Helps
If the frame suits a standard plate, a fair question is why the car name matters at all. Two reasons.
The first is the mounting. Bumpers differ in where their plate holes sit and how much flat area surrounds them. A listing tied to your car has already accounted for that.
The second is proportion. A frame that looks right against a compact bumper can look heavy on a larger SUV face, and the reverse.
Civic owners will find the Vantiq frame among the rest of the Honda Civic Rebirth accessories. It sits beside the mats and covers people usually order with it.
City owners will find theirs in the Honda City 2022 to 2026 range. H6 owners should look in the Haval H6 2022 to 2024 collection.
Shopping that way also means the frame arrives with the other pieces for the same car, which saves a second order.
The Punjab Rules, and the One Line That Matters
Plate rules in Punjab changed in February 2026, and the change is good news for owners.
The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department notified that traffic police must stop challaning vehicles over officially produced plates. The department also stopped producing plates and charging the fee.
Owners may now have plates made privately. With one condition, which the department stated plainly.
A privately made plate must conform strictly to the government-approved design.
And here is the clause that matters to anyone buying a frame. Officers may still verify whether a plate is affixed in the prescribed manner.
A frame sits directly on top of that question, because fitting one changes how the plate is mounted and what surrounds it.
There is enforcement context too, and it is worth knowing before you spend. Punjab police have run a campaign against illegal and decorative number plates, and against plates that are obscured or hidden.
The directive came from Additional Inspector General Mirza Faran Baig to traffic officers across the province, as a joint effort with Excise and Taxation. The stated reason was that such plates make it harder to identify vehicles involved in crimes and accidents.
Note the word decorative. It is already part of the enforcement vocabulary.
We could not find any Punjab rule that addresses decorative frames specifically. We are not going to tell you that silence means approval. It equally does not mean a ban.
What it means is that the frame itself is not the test. Plate visibility is.
Three questions settle it. Is every character fully readable, is the province name and department mark still visible, and is the plate still fixed the prescribed way.
If a frame overlaps a digit, shades a character or hides the authority mark, it fails all three, whatever it cost. If it sits outside the printed area and leaves the plate flat against its mounting, you are on solid ground.
This is also the reason a custom name is worth thinking about twice. Put it on the frame, where it belongs, and never anywhere that crowds the plate.
Plate rules are worth reading properly rather than second-hand. What the February change did and did not permit is set out in our guide to Punjab's private number plate rules.
One more boundary worth stating. This is Punjab's position, so confirm it with your own registration office if your car is registered elsewhere.
The Check to Do When It Arrives
One minute, before anything is fixed in place.
Hold the frame against the plate without mounting it, then step back several metres and read your own number out loud.
Check the top strip while you are there. That is where the province name and the department's mark sit, and it is the part a frame is most likely to crowd.
If any character is harder to read, or the mark along the top is shaded, stop and tell us rather than fitting it.
That is what the thirty-day exchange window is for, and it is far cheaper than a conversation at a checkpoint.
Who It Suits
A frame earns its place in a few specific situations.
An untidy plate area, chipped paint around the holes or a plate that rattles are all visible problems. A frame fixes them cheaply.
If you have just fitted other exterior pieces and the plate now looks like the one unfinished detail, it closes that gap.
If you want a personalised touch without touching the plate itself, a name printed on the frame does that while leaving the registration untouched.
It suits you less in two cases. One is a car registered outside Punjab whose local position you have not checked. The other is driving where enforcement is strict, if you would rather not invite a second look.
Final Thoughts
A Vantiq frame is a tidy, low-cost way to finish the front and rear of a car. The decisions are small and there are only three of them: your car, red or white, and whether you want a name on it.
The decision that actually matters comes after delivery. Fit it so nothing on the plate is covered and a frame stays a styling choice. Let it overlap anything printed and it is no longer one, because decorative and obscured plates are what Punjab's enforcement looks for.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Vantiq number plate frame?
It is a decorative surround that fits around the plate already on your car. The plate area looks tidier, and the official plate stays exactly as issued.
Is the number plate included?
No. The listing states the plate is not supplied. The frame is for use with a compatible plate already on the car.
What colours are available?
Red and white are offered. White blends into a pale bumper and sharpens a dark one, while red reads as a deliberate accent.
Can I put my name on it?
Yes. A custom name is a separate option chosen when you order, rather than something every frame comes with. Send the exact spelling in writing, because printing cannot be reversed.
Does it fit the front and the rear?
The listing gives front and rear as the positions it is made for. Decide whether you want a single frame or a matching pair before ordering.
Why do listings say all models?
Because the frame is offered for that car without being tied to one year. It is built around a standard government-sized plate rather than a per-year opening.
Does fitting need drilling?
The listing does not say, so it depends on your bumper and how the plate is currently fixed. Ask us before ordering whether your existing holes can be used.
What if it does not suit my car?
Exchanges are accepted for thirty days after delivery, so check the fit against your plate before mounting anything.
Are number plate frames allowed in Pakistan?
No Punjab rule we could find addresses decorative frames specifically, so we will not call them approved or banned. What is clear is that officers may check the plate is affixed in the prescribed manner, and that obscured plates are an enforcement target.
What changed in the Punjab plate rules?
In February 2026 the Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department told traffic police to stop challaning over officially produced plates. Privately made plates became allowed, if they conform strictly to the approved design.
How do I know it is fitted safely?
Dry-fit it before fixing anything, then stand back several metres and read the plate aloud. Nothing printed on it may be covered or shaded, including the mark along the top.
